Pure Planet Recycling have recently contributed towards the industry backed campaign for a national TV advert promoting the recycling of WEEE within the UK. The advert is set to be aired over Christmas and will help raise awareness of the continued need for householders to recycle their small household electrical items instead of simply placing them in a bin.
The TV advert campaign is being coordinated by WEEE re-processor, SWEEEP Kuusakoski, under the name of Weee Connect. Pure Planet Recycling have joined other WEEE companies to help fund the project. The initial goal of the project was to gather £32,000 to make the TV advert a reality and broadcast the advert to 10 million viewers. However the target has been exceeded with 56 companies (and counting) co-funding the project at nearly £50,000, increasing the potential viewing figures at over 13 million people.
