EWC codes | List Of Waste | European Waste Codes

When waste is moved or disposed of, you must use a waste transfer note/consignment note. This describes the waste, the producer of the waste and the disposal point. A standard coding system classifies and describes the type of waste. These are called EWC Codes (European Waste Codes) as specified in the List Of Waste Regulations.

Pure Planet Recycling has created the following searchable list of EWC codes, categorised by Chapter and subchapter. The list includes the July 2015 amendments.

Pure Planet Recycling does not offer support for the use of these codes. We cannot be held responsible for their improper use. If you need help, please visit the waste classification guidance.

If you find these EWC codes useful, please see our Services tab to see if we can help with anything else.

Use the search box to enter your keyword/code or browse the list of waste.
