Recycle Week 2014

recycle week 2014

Recycle Week is an annual event dedicated to celebrating and promoting all aspects of recycling. Organised by WRAP, under their Recycle Now brand, the event is in it’s 11th year. Running from the 16th to the 22nd of June, events and promotions will be held across the country under the topic of ‘Recycling at Home and Away’.

Schools, businesses, clubs and individuals can find out how they can get involved with Recycle Week by visiting the Recycle Now Website. Here you can download a partner guide, which gives information and ideas on creating your own recycling events or you can search the diary of events on in your area. The Recycle Now website also contains great facts, figures and explanations of how all types of materials can be recycled. WRAP hope that with education people can be educated and thanked for their current efforts and show how we can do more.

Your local authority or council may well be organising events in your local area in order to help promote recycling. Keep an eye out in your local press, radio or even on your social media accounts for events in your area. Both children and adults can learn more about recycling from these events and the team at Pure Planet Recycling will definitely be getting involved. We will also be showing our support via our social media accounts to help promote Recycle Week. If you wish to get involved on Twitter or Facebook the Recycle Now website contains great images to help show your support. So please investigate how you can get involved in Recycle Week 2014, we hope you’ll have fun whilst also learning more on all types of recycling.
