Hazardous Waste Premises Registration

The Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005 were amended on 6th April 2009. Premises that produce less than 500 kg of hazardous waste in a year are exempt from registration, this was previously set at 200kg. There is a charge for the registration: Online registration costs £18 per site; Telephone registration costs £23 per site and paper registration is £28 per site.

CRTs (monitors) are classified as hazardous waste as an example roughly 30 17" monitors or only 25 21" monitors will weigh 500Kgs.
